A Set Back

I posted last week that I was pregnant. That took a bad turn and I've suffered a miscarriage this week. It's been a terrible experience and one that I hope to never repeat. We are devastated, but life goes on and this ache will hopefully diminish as time passes. So I will likely be MIA for a while as I pick up the pieces and move forward. I will post again when I'm up to it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It is always amazing to me how early in a pregnancy I become attached to and love eternally my children. We wish you the best of spirits in these trying times.

I am so sorry to hear that. I have been following your blog. (Jylaire sent me your link). I lost 3 babies and the heartache is always difficult. Take some time just for you! We will pray for you.

I recently found your blog through a friend. I have been amazed at your story. I have suffered postpartum depression with my last two pregnancies, most recently after a miscarriage in June.

Losing a baby is a very difficult experience, and in some cases not even your own spouse will understand your grief. Everyone's experience is different. Just don't let anyone minimize your loss- you have lost a CHILD. One that was as real and wanted and loved by you than any of your other children.
I read a book shortly after my miscarriage that helped a lot. It's called "Gone Too Soon" by Sherri Wittwer. You can get it at Deseret Book. It really helped me understand not only my own grief but my whole family's and other people's reactions to our loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult loss. It does get better. But it can take a very long time. And THAT'S OKAY! Take the time you need and grieve in the way you need to.

I had my first baby, then lost 4 then had my second and lost 1. After this many miscarraiges my only advice is to remember that what you feel is real and that others may not understand. and until they do it is ok. I never wish that feeling on anyone... The thing that helped the most is when my husband finally broke down, and we just held each other and sobbed and sobbed..... Feeling my husbands shoulders shake felt so good to me, I could trully greive through him.... If you wanted to talk you are welcome to call me.
With love,

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I, too, know the pain all too well, as I had two m/c before our daughter arrived.

You have lots of love from your online friends, as well as those IRL, I'm sure.

Please know we're praying for you and wishing you well, and we'll all be here when you are ready.

It's so nice to get in touch with you again after so many years. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I had a miscarriage a few months ago while living in Chile and it's been a very difficult thing for me--I'm still suffering from hormone imbalances and other problems. I just want you to know that I understand what you're going through and I am sorry. Take care, Lynette
